667	O	R158A	#R158A, 1c Dark yellow green, "Chapman" provisional overprint, an impressive appearing used example of this provisional, of which only 250 were originally produced with government approval, for the private use by the Chapman Steamboat Line, which operated steamboat freighters along the Erie Canal; nicely centered although reperforated at right, strong rich color, very light and unobtrusive ms. cancel, tiny sealed tear at top, very fine appearance; only sixteen copies are recorded to still exist (thirteen used and three unused), with the majority having faults to some degree; a stamp that is missing in even the most advanced revenue collections.
