on reverse, couple of vertical file folds, one of which passes through 3p Green, entire has some faults, including some splitting along folds and slight discoloration along one vertical file fold, nevertheless an attractive and very rare bisect

October 6th, additional manuscript docketing suggests cover originated at Fogo though there is no town cancel, very fine and exceptionally choice.This visually stunning cover is one of only four recorded bearing a One Shilling Rose bisect. It is
regarded as the finest of the four. A major postal history rarity of Newfoundland.Identified as Pratt census #2. Accompanied by a 1952 RPS certificate; ex-Hart, "Foxbridge", Chan and Gilbert.
