855 ngc U429j image#U429j var., 2c Carmine on white, die 1 with added impression of 1c Green, die 1, UPSS dies 134 and 128 respectively, size 8, knife 42, wmk. 25, unused envelope with printed address of the Guaranty Trust Co. of New York, this envelope shows an unusual variety of this error, the 1c indicia is printed inverted on the inside, directly behind the 2c imprint, but also showing a full and strong inverted offset on the front, mended tear to the bottom backflap that carries slightly to the front, otherwise very fine; very striking and much scarcer than the normal with the two imprints upright and on the front (UPSS #CC1 var.).
