392 O imageS.G. #6, 1848 1p Vermilion on yellowish white paper, early impression, a stunning horizontal pair of incredible beauty, featuring numerous desirable features not often found on this very rare classic issue, including luxuriant brilliant color neatly complemented by the slightly yellowish paper, bordered by large to extra-large even margins, and lightly cancelled by two strikes of numeral "14" double-ring cancel, all combine to produce a pair of extraordinary appearance, virtually undetectable pressed vertical crease in right stamp that does not detract from this pair's impressive visage and otherwise extremely fine; certainly a pair that would hold a prestigious place in any major collection of the classic issues of Mauritius; signed A.
