261 O image#127, 10c Yellow re-issue, a marvelous example that is, without question, one of the finest used Ten Cent 1869 Pictorial Re-issues in existence, as this stamp boasts numerous impressive physical attributes, including being incredibly well centered amid large margins all around, plus its color could not be more intense nor its impression more detailed, small unobtrusive segmented cork cancel confined to bottom left corner, extremely fine; a striking gem of immense rarity, as only a tiny fraction of the 1,947 Ten Cent Re-issue stamps that were issued were ever used, and only a minute number of these can possibly exist in this premium condition; 1967 and 1998 PF certificates. 262 O image#128, 12c Green re-issue, a fabulous quality example of this very rare used re-issue, being in a condition that is virtually unheard of on any of the known used 1869 Pictorial Re-issues, magnificently centered amid lavishly large margins, eye-arresting color in an incredibly deep shade, plus its impression is deeply etched on bright paper, superbly postmarked with a light magenta cancel at bottom, leaving the central vignette cancel free, a superb stamp for the finest used collection; Jon Rose, in his exceptional United States Postage Stamps of 1869 handbook, estimates that only 15-25 used Twelve Cent Re-issues exist and, in our opinion, there exists no finer than the copy offered here; 1991 and 2002 PF certificates; ex-Morris.
