192 c Sieger #64R imageSieger #64R, 1930 Pan-American Flight, round trip cover franked at all four countries on the flight, consisting of a large white linen envelope with German 2M South America Flight single tied by the on-board "Graf Zeppelin" cancel of May 19, 1930 at the beginning of the flight in Friedrichshafen, Spanish two 4P Lake tied the same day by Seville c.d.s., then on to Brazil where 10,000r "Graf Zeppelin/U.S.A." overprint and additional adhesive are tied by Rio de Janeiro c.d.s. of May 25, 1930 with other markings of Brazil between May 22-26, finally bearing a well centered U.S. $1.30 Zeppelin tied by Lakehurst June 1, 1930 duplex for the return flight, the cover possesses flight cachets of the various countries except Spain, the U.S cachet is for the outbound flight rather than the return flight, plus small circular "Round Trip" cachet, backstamped, very fine; this large size envelope was used in order to have room for all the stamps and markings, all of which are applied to the front, this example is one of the finest of the very few covers with all four countries' frankings that are known being on a white envelope rather than kraft paper and without the edge wear and bends that are typical of the large envelopes; signed Sieger; ex-Belinkoff (Sieger €9,500; Michel #62/68a).
