elusive and distinctive yellow orange shade, radiant color, o.g., very

yellow orange shade, a single - both with trimmed selvage into the monogram
(A$2,750 for a monogram single in a normal shade, plus A$1,800 for three

of 30 from the bottom right corner of the right-hand pane, with
inter-panneau sheet-margin at left, with position 48 displaying the
"white scratch from 'G' of 'POSTAGE' to map" variety, magnificently fresh
and intact, radiant color, extraordinarily well centered throughout, o.g.,
all but top two center stamps n.h., very fine and choice; one of the
most important no monogram multiples in existence from the First Watermark
series (A$6,000 for a hinged strip of three alone, plus there is an
additional A$11,550 for twenty-five additional n.h. singles and two hinged

Watermark stamps on three exhibition pages, begins with two mint blocks of
four, a most unusual used example with manuscript "Postage Due Stamp"
endorsement, five ACSC listed plate varieties [1R48 two mint and one used,
2R24 mint, 2R59 used], a used "creased paper" variety, and concluding with
two scarce used yellow orange shade varieties with both large and small
"OS" punctures, couple with trivial flaws, overall fine-very fine. |
