1512 Oc U465 image#U465, 2c on 1c Green on white, die 1, type 3 surcharge, UPSS die 127(A), size 10, knife 59, wmk. 20, unusual used entire, posted locally as printed matter in the proper period in Philadelphia with "Philadelphia, Pa./1923" machine cancel without month and day date, however processed through the canceling machine upside down so the postmark is at bottom left leaving the imprint uncancelled, small edge tear at top well away from the imprint, otherwise very fine; this would yield a nice extra large mint cut square which has a catalog value of $1,750.00, but this is an extremely rare used entire and we know of no other used items, which are not listed thus as cut squares or entires by either Scott or UPSS (UPSS #2925). 1518 ogc U474b var. image#U474b var., 2c on 1c on 3c Dark violet on white, die 7, UPSS die 146(H), size 21, knife 100, wmk. 19, a totally unlisted large size envelope which in addition has a St. Louis triple 2c surcharge spaced across the envelope, the two impressions that are not on the stamp imprint have confirming offsets of the surcharge on the reverse, exceptionally fresh and crisp, extremely fine; this envelope size and knife is not listed for any of the 2c on 1c surcharges by Thorp or UPSS, let alone the triple surcharge error; the normal most commonly seen envelope is size 10, knife 57 with watermark 20 and has a catalog value in Scott of $1,150.00; ex-Baum.
