1746 Oogbl Canada substantial and valuable mint and used collection, mounted on attractive handmade pages and very comprehensive in its scope from the perforated issue of 1859 to 1933 with airmails, special deliveries, officials and other back-of-the-book material that has issues after 1933 as well (#14/203, C1/OX4), the 19th century is interesting and often quite specialized being collected used for the most part, includes plate varieties, numerous cancels and even some nice usages on cover, each issue often has several copies of each value showing shades and various printings, there is a nice representation of Large Queens with lots of shades as well as watermarked paper and laid paper varieties, Small Queens include a selection of mint but have a wonderful collection of used identifying printings and shades, numerous cancels are present including some nice fancy cancels, starting with the 1897 Jubilees the collection is largely mint, Jubilees are complete to the $1.00 mint plus a $2.00 used, virtually complete thereafter with several copies of many values and many blocks of four, we notice a lovely selection of coils and booklet panes, airmails are collected in singles and blocks, also includes special deliveries and registration stamps with a mint 8c Blue, nice postage dues and war tax stamps with both overprinted sets complete, overprinted officials are also quite comprehensive, overall quality is well above average and very attractive including many nice used stamps as well as covers, mint have o.g. with very few exceptions even in the early issues, neatly hinged on these attractive pages with many blocks having two stamps never hinged being hinged in the top stamps only, fine-very fine; an excellent collection of thousands of stamps for collector or dealer alike with a marvelous array of desirable material that needs to be examined to be appreciated. 1749 c China small cover accumulation of 32 covers and cards including a 1911 United States Post Office in Shanghai cover to the United States prior to the surcharges with pair of 1c Green Franklins, Chinese frankings start as early as the 1912 Republic overprints and go as late as the 1951 Republic of China in Taiwan, we note a 1931 Nanking-Peiping FFC and few domestic usages on attractive view cards, the vast majority are commercial usages to the United States with a wide range of frankings over the different periods of use, includes registered, censored and air mail usages, condition mixed with faults present, but fine-very fine as well. 1753 og/nh 12/937, B1/J92 France substantial and valuable mint collection of over 1,100 different encompassing the period of 1853-1959 (#12/937, B1/J92), neatly housed in a Lighthouse hingeless album, the 19th century period through the Sage issues consists of over 70 mint and a few unused, the collector was attempting to collect everything mint never hinged but a few truly unused stamps that had been regummed crept in and he had to settle for some stamps in lightly hinged condition, however there are a fair number of modestly priced values of this period that are n.h. and unusually choice, the 20th century is very clean and attractive, there are some holes to fill in the regular issues and semi-postals because he did not include stamps unless they were up to his condition standards and there are only a very few air posts and postage dues, quality of the 20th century is excellent with virtually all o.g., n.h., and overall the condition, including the 19th century, is fine-very fine or better; an excellent basis for anyone wishing to form a quality mint collection of France; accompanied by four certificates of various experts or committees. 1756 ogO French Offices Abroad valuable collection of several hundred different, mostly mint but including used values throughout, of greatest importance are the Offices in China including a nice range of the various district overprints on stamps of Indochina, however there are some first and second series that are Fournier forgeries and not counted, nevertheless the later issues and genuine early issues are significant, plus the general Offices in China is comprehensive with a set of the 1901 surcharges used signed by various experts (#14-17), Offices in Egypt,Turkey and Zanzibar are well represented as well as Crete, condition varies but mint normally has o.g. and there are many fine-very fine collectible stamps present; also includes an additional binder with over 75 nearly all mint items of postal stationery for the offices, mostly postal cards and letter cards but also some envelopes; in all a desirable collection of this interesting area of French philately and well worth examining.
