VIII cachet and signatures of the island council, what were pages 15 and 16 (photographs) have been remounted on a single page and, for conservation reasons, the staples that bound the petition together have been removed and each page has been neatly and lightly mounted on archival board, fine; this is the finest of only three such petitions in private hands, being the most complete of the three; an indispensable item for a serious Tristan da Cunha collection and would make an outstanding frontispiece for exhibition; ex-Peck.
