#358, 2c Carmine on bluish paper, an eye-arresting jumbo-margined mint example, possessing truly immense margins and being perfectly centered within them, striking
"fiery" color and a well incised impression on deeply blued paper, pristine o.g., n.h., superb.Bluish Paper stamps are well known to be quite difficult to find in premium condition. Their experimental nature, in a failed effort to stop paper
shrinkage, resulted in many poorly perforated sheets. Therefore, to locate a truly well centered example is quite a find. To then discover one that is not only well centered but with extra-large margins is a very rare occurrence. The stunning example
offered here of the Two Cent Bluish Paper is, without fear of being contradicted, one of the largest margined Bluish Papers in existence, if not the largest. Additionally, it is amazingly well centered within these vast borders. A magnificent quality
stamp in every regard.Accompanied by 1984, 1998 and 2006 PF certificates (the latter graded Superb 98 Jumbo), as well as a 2008 PSE certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $6,600.00 as 98, the highest grade they price); the sole example in the PSE
Population Report to grade 98J, with one grading just slightly higher (100) but its margins are considerably smaller than the remarkable example offered here; ex-Klimetz. (Image) |

#359, 3c Deep violet on bluish paper, gem right sheet-margin example, marvelously well centered within uncharacteristically large margins, deeply rich
shade and an extraordinarily well incised impression on fresh paper, especially clean o.g. with just the barest suggestion of a hinge mark, extremely fine. The Three Cent Bluish Paper is not only rare, but is also particularly elusive to find well
centered and margined. The example offered here is one of the finest quality copies we have ever offered in our auctions. Its centering, size of margins and prooflike color and impression all combine to create a stamp of exceptional beauty and eye
appeal.Accompanied by 1985 (for a block of four from which this stamp was taken) and 1999 PF certificates. (Image) |

#361, 5c Blue on bluish paper, spectacularly bright and fresh, with prooflike color and impression on absolutely immaculate paper, extraordinarily well centered
within exceedingly large margins, pristine o.g., never hinged, an extremely fine gem in every regard. The Five Cent Bluish Paper is the rarest of the regularly issued Bluish Paper series, as well as being the most difficult to find in
premium condition. The example from the "Westchester" Collection is extraordinary in many ways. First, it is in a most remarkable state of preservation - as fresh and pristine as the day it was issued. Secondly, it possesses outstanding centering and
margins unlike any other we have ever encountered. And, finally, it is one of the scant few on record that is never hinged - which is almost impossible to find on this particular value. Together, all of these impressive physical attributes create one
of the finest Five Cent Bluish Papers in existence and, quite likely, the finest never hinged example extant.Signed H.F. Colman (handstamp) and accompanied by a 2001 PSE certificate, as well as 1980 (photocopy), 1983, 2002 and 2006 PF
certificates (the latter graded XF 90; SMQ $40,600.00); the highest grade awarded to any never hinged Five Cent Bluish Paper; ex-Floyd. (Image) |

#362, 6c Red orange on bluish paper, pristine left sheet-margin partial imprint single, brilliant intense color on deeply blued paper, extraordinarily well
centered within uncharacteristically large margins, o.g., stamp n.h. (lightly hinged in sheet selvage only), extremely fine.A gorgeous never hinged example of the Six Cent Bluish Paper. Exceedingly desirable in this pristine state of
preservation.Accompanied by 1985 and 1996 PF certificates, as well as a 2004 PSE certificate (XF 90; SMQ $8,850.00); the highest grade awarded for any never hinged example, being one of only three such copies to have been graded to date;

#365, 13c Blue green on bluish paper, flawlessly centered amid lavishly large margins which are almost unheard of on this scarce and challenging stamp, sumptuously
rich color and a razor-sharp impression on brilliantly fresh paper, especially clean o.g. with just the barest trace of hinging, an extremely fine gem in every regard.Gem quality Bluish Papers, such as the one offered here are true condition
rarities, no matter which denomination is involved. However, there are certain values like the Five Cent and the Thirteen Cent, which are especially elusive to find in premium condition. Never before have we encountered a Thirteen Cent value that is
this stamp's equal. Its margins are incredibly wide and its centering is extraordinary. That is why we are confident in stating that this is one of the very finest original gum Thirteen Cent Bluish Papers in existence.Accompanied by 1988 and 1999
PF certificates, as well as a 2006 PSE certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $6,950.00); this is the highest grade awarded to any Scott #365. (Image) |

example in the PSE Population Report - and the sole example to have been given the lofty grade of Superb 98. The rarity of this stamp in this spectacular quality is highlighted by the fact that the next highest grade awarded by the PSE is only a

stamp is the epitome of perfect centering, with all four gigantic margins being precisely balanced. The perfection of its centering being confirmed by the PSE as they have awarded this striking stamp the ultimate grade possible for any postage stamp

and freshness.Accompanied by a 1991 PF certificate, as well as a 2006 PSE certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $3,200.00 as 98, the highest grade they price); this is the sole never hinged example to have been graded Superb 98 Jumbo by the PSE,

impression than usually encountered, pristine o.g, n.h., extremely fine. The Fifteen Cent 1911 Issue is a surprisingly challenging stamp to acquire in premium never hinged condition. Typically it is found with very tight margins and less than
perfect centering. Such is not the case with this extraordinary copy, as its margins are as large as we have ever seen on this stamp and its centering is nearly flawless.Accompanied by a 2004 PF certificate, as well as 2003 and 2005 PSE
certificates (the latter graded XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $5,300.00 as 95 and $14,400.00 as 98); this is the highest graded never hinged Scott #382 in the PSE Population Report and is the sole example to have been given this impressive grade. (Image) |

impression is marvelously detailed on brilliantly fresh paper, even its perforations are long and uniformly intact all around, unblemished o.g. without a single gum bend or skip, in a word - superb. This phenomenal stamp is the height of
perfection, which is clearly evident by all of its physical attributes which are not possible to improve upon. This is not only our opinion, but it is a view shared by the graders at Professional Stamp Experts, as they have awarded this stamp the
ultimate of all grades - Gem 100 Jumbo. One of the most important of all stamps to have ever been graded by the PSE.Accompanied by a 1993 PF certificate, as well as a 2007 PSE certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; SMQ $8,600.00 as 98, the highest grade
