magnificent and seldom offered certified genuine mint single of this truly
rare and often faked coil, fabulously well centered within large balanced
margins which are most uncharacteristic of this, deep "fiery" red color
seen only on the genuine coil, flawless o.g. that has never been
hinged, extremely fine; any genuine certified example of this coil is a
rarity, but to give a sense of just how rare this coil is never hinged,
this is the first example (single or pair) that we have ever offered that
was never hinged, and to find one in this remarkable condition besides is a
true condition rarity; 1996 PF certificate.

registry cancels on long 2c Entire to Germany (backstamped), with clear May
14, 1913 registry cancels on back, which until recently was the earliest
documented usage (as currently listed in the Scott catalog), however it has
been supplanted by an April 7 cover, a few cover edge flaws as to be
expected, very fine appearance; despite no longer being and EDU, this is
still a very attractive and desirable cover correctly paying the double
non-Treaty rate; 2001 APS certificate (stating EDU).
