century rarity, possessing far better centering and overall freshness than
the vast majority of known examples. This value, along with the Eight Cent
from the series, were never intended to be issued to the public.
Approximately 90 of each were released in an exchange with the Post Office
Department in Washington, D.C. to obtain other rarities for the nation's
collection. An infrequent opportunity to acquire a handsome original gum

exceptionally bright and fresh, intense color and a sharp impression, while
centered to right, not objectionably so, full clean o.g., lightly hinged,
fine. With less than 90 examples in private hands, the Eight Cent
Bluish Paper remains one of the most desired stamps in 20th century United

the most advanced collector's album.A rather attractive example of this
key 20th century rarity. Accompanied by a 1959 PF certificate. (Image) |

#365, 13c Blue green on bluish paper, an exciting
mint single of this rare stamp, possessing numerous desirable physical

impression, the reverse is equally impressive, sporting immaculate o.g.
without a single bend or skip, never hinged, extremely fine; the rarity of
this stamp in gem never hinged condition cannot be overemphasized, as we
are aware of only one or perhaps two other never hinged Thirteen Cent
