295a |
#295a, 2c Pan-American, Center Inverted, a
fabulously well centered and fresh mint example of this tremendously rare
and popular 20th century error, being one of the finest centered copies
in existence, with exceptionally large margins all around which are
most uncharacteristic of this and being flawlessly centered within them,
additionally this stamp is in a considerably fresher state of preservation
when compared to most other copies of this invert, with strong rich colors
and full clean o.g. which is not disturbed in any way (as is often the case
with many of these), lightly hinged, accompanying 1997 PF certificate
enumerates two insignificant flaws neither of which, in our opinion,
warranted mentioning considering this stamp's magnificent overall
qualities, one is a tiny paper inclusion spot and another is a small corner
crease at bottom left which we have a difficult time discerning,
nevertheless still extremely fine; one of the finest Two Cent
Pan-American Inverted Centers we have ever had the pleasure to offer;
1982 Sorani and 1997 PF certificates.

296a |
#296a, 4c Pan-American, Center Inverted, an
attractive appearing example of this rare error, far better centering than
typically encountered, as most are found quite off center, strong rich
colors, full o.g., lightly hinged, which is a rare trait, as most have gum
faults (or no gum) due to having been stuck down at one time in a Post
Office Department book, small closed tear at left, very fine appearance; a
highly collectable copy of this seldom offered error; clear 1962 PF
certificate. (Image) |
