#523, $2.00 Orange red and black, an incomparable
mint example of this scarce and popular stamp, being the only example to
be graded by the PSE as "Gem 100" - the ultimate condition for any
stamp, possessing an impressive overall brilliance and freshness which
is quite extraordinary, with strong rich colors devoid of even a hint of
oxidization which often affects the orange red color, even its paper is
unusually bright, but most impressive is its absolutely perfect centering
amid huge jumbo margins, pristine o.g., n.h., superb; a stamp that is
destined to realize a record price, and deservedly so, as this incredible
stamp is among a very small fraternity whose condition simply cannot be
improved upon; 1997 PF certificate and a 2005 PSE certificate (Gem 100; SMQ
$7,600.00 for 98, as they do not price stamps in this extraordinary grade);
