'PAID AT GUADELOUPE' in blue alongside-one of two recorded in this colour-and British PO cds on reverse-charge paid being 1s 4d in red manuscript. Cover then went to British PO's in St Thomas [Apr 12] and Panama [Apr 23] arriving at

remarkable cover, in all probability the GB stamp (green) was mistaken for the current Washington 10c. (also green) on despatch. The cover is matched with a regular US stationery usage similarly cancelled in 1863. A rarity in probably unique.
