Cherrystone January 16-18 Public Auction Sale is now online. Rare stamps and postal history of United States and the World are featured, with 2400 lots covering virtually every area of philately. Several old-time collections have been broken down, some offered for the first time in 60 years. Classics and 20th Century United States include high value regular issues, commemoratives, air post, Trans-Oceanic Flight covers and United States Possessions. British Commonwealth covers a wide range, with equally impressive representation of Europe. A specialized Germany and Colonies section is noteworthy, especially World War II Occupation stamps and cover, with many seldom offered items, most acquired over 50 years ago and accompanied by recent expert certificates. Italy and Colonies selection is most impressive, with Italian East Africa, Somalia, Levant, China, San Marino and Vatican City. As in every Cherrystone Sale, this auction includes better South America, with proofs and essays, Asia and a large section of Country and World Wide Collections.
