specified in ms., applied in transit to Jul. 30, 1847 folded letter from
New York to Baring Bros. in London, forwarded to Harnden in Liverpool with
Great Britain 1841 1p Red, large margins to clear at top, tied by
"16" oval grid, Harnden addressed the letter to Springfield Mass. and sent
it by a Cunarder, Liverpool transits front and back (Aug. 14, 15 and 16),
ms. "33 + 17 = Coll 50" rate, Very Fine, unusual use of G.B. stamp

(7/15/1841 Boston to Paris, forwarded to Amsterdam and Germany, 8/12/1841
Boston to New York), and two from fourth period as a private express
(12/31/1845 Boston to Paris and 1/11/1848 New York to Rome), wide variety
of Harnden markings and transits, Very Fine, this is a fascinating and, in
