Clear strike of forwarder's handstamp with ship's illustration on back of blue 1856 folded letter to Marseilles, France, red "Post-Office British-Army MY 29 1856" and transit backstamps, contents concern Crimean War and state in part "Enclosed I send you a judgement pronounced by a Survey of two Captains appointed by the Naval Commissioner at Kamiesch.", faint horizontal file fold, Very Fine strike of this rare forwarder's marking used during the Crimean War, accompanied by exhibit page giving detailed explanation of rate and route (Image)	E. 500-750 SOLD for $200.00 Will close during Public Auction
