Genoa, Italy, lacking origin datestamp but with Alexandria transit of Nov.
20, 1869, Brindisi and arrival backstamps, neat "10" due handstamp, missing
top flap, two holes at left, appears Very Fine, Hong Kong letters sent to
Italy via British of French mails were prepaid only as far as Alexandria
and the recipient was charged for postage from Alexandria to destination (Image) |

abrasion, couple perf flaws at top, otherwise Fine, this was sent on the
second homebound voyage which allowed prepayment all the way, as the
agreement between Italy and Britain was not effective until Aug. 9, 1871,
