by light strike of "Knoxville Ten. Jul. 16" circular datestamp on home made
cover to Kingston Tenn., 1862 docketing at left, barely reduced at top
where opened EXTREMELY FINE. THIS IS ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE
10-CENT CARMINE ON COVER. A MAGNIFICENT CONDITION RARITY. With note on
back which reads "Carmine, Deepest color I ever saw, Finest copy known -
