10c 1847 Issue, Large Die Trial Color Proofs on India, Bond (2TC). Nine items each with cross-hatching, incl. four on India in Orange Yellow, Orange Vermilion, Blue and Brown, five on Bond incl. Golden Brown, Dark Brown and three in Black with different papermaker's information, from 34 x 39mm to 43 x 51mm, deep rich colors

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE AND DESIRABLE GROUP OF LARGE DIE TRIAL COLOR PROOFS FOR THE 10-CENT 1847 ISSUE.
