8), reinforced along fold, minor toning, still Fine, intact reply card
usages are very scarce and desirable

2-ring target cancel (Ty. 101), clear strike of red "Honolulu Hawaii 29
Jul. 1885" double-circle datestamp (Ty. 281.01) and red "San Francisco Paid
All Aug. 9" receiving datestamp, faintly toned around edges, Very Fine, as
noted for lot 4377 Gregory identifies this datestamp as a forgery of
281.01, which was normally used on registered mail, but this rare reply
card usage seems genuine to us (Image) |
