Hamakua Mill Co. straightline is scarce

1899, 2c Rose (81).
Pair, cancelled by clearly struck bluish "Hamakua Mill Co./A. Lidgate,
Manager" two-line handstamp in script-like font (this is Gregory's
listing example of AUXPRIAG-Hamakua[script]) on legal-size cover to
Honolulu, May 15, 1900 receiving backstamp, some very minor toning, Very
Fine, Lidgate served as manager of the Hamakua Mill. Co. of Paauilo, as
manager of the Paauilo Store where the post office was located and as
postmaster of Paauilo from 1898 to 1900, when this cover was mailed --
possibly a unique example of this handstamp, which is something between a
private marking and official postmark -- ex Burns

Vertically Laid (28), ample margins to barely in at bottom, light
corner crease, used on cover to Punahou, Oahu, ms. "Oct. 29" date to
the left of stamp as part of postmark (does not appear to be a docketing),
slightly irregular opening at right does not affect stamp, Very Fine,
extremely rare "Hilo Post Office" postmark and a beautiful 2c Kamehameha IV
cover, "W.H.C." (Colson) handstamp
