equally bold "San Francisco Cal. 10 Jul. 9" integral-rate circular
datestamp, trivial edgewearEXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE COVER
WITH THE "PURSER" HANDSTAMP. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN. This marking is known
on incoming ship letters from 1865 to 1867, which were subject to a 10c
blanket rate applicable to mail from countries with which the United States

Compy's Office Callao, John Prain Esq. Panama, Pay postage only to Panama
as it is free from there!", some slight wear incl. restored corner at
bottom right, otherwise Fine, unusual usage, Liffken was a Pacific Steam
