Bordeaux, France, sender's routing "Par panama et l'angletaire", red two-line "PANAMA/TRANSIT" handstamp, red London transit backstamp (Jan. 1, 1855), Calais transit datestamp and Bordeaux receiving backstamp, "21" decimes due handstamp,
minor edgewear and toned spots VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE USE OF THE 5-CENTAVOS LITHOGRAPH ON COVER TO A EUROPEAN DESTINATION. The 5c Lithograph paid the internal rate, and all other transit postage was collected from the addressee in
