3587   Postal and Collector Forgeries. Nine items, incl. old lithographic forgeries of Scott Nos. 2, 39 (two), 244 and 245, all with fake cancels, earlier 20th Century 2c Washington Scott Type A157 (similar to No. 583), The Boston or New York forgery, Mint N.H. and beautifully centered, perf 14, with Varro Tyler article not mentioning the perf 14 variety which is mentioned by Petschel in "Spurious Stamps", lastly more modern vintage postal forgeries with unused (no gum) imperforate vertical and horizontal pairs of No. 1510, reasonably good facsimiles and would probably fool the general public, and a perforated block of four of No. 1618, Mint N.H., not as well executed as the 10c but a passable job that would fool many, very interesting and desirable lot for the specialist E. 300-400
