12c Black (17). Enormous margins all around incl. part of four adjoining stamps, bright shade, crisp impression, light strike of blue circular datestampEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB USED
EXAMPLE OF THE 12-CENT 1851 ISSUE, WHICH HAS BEEN GRADED SUPERB 98 JUMBO BY P.S.E. The 12c 1851 plate was laid down with very little room between stamps -- just barely one millimeter, to be exact. For this reason, collectors have a difficult
time finding stamps with large margins all around. The example offered here, lightly cancelled by a blue datestamp and graded 98 Jumbo by P.S.E., is a truly rare stamp. With 2008 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo, unpriced above the grade of
98 in SMQ, SMQ $4,100.00 as 98). Only two have graded higher to date. (Image) Search for
