When one does find an example, it invariably has imperfections, such as surface rubbing, toning or gum loss, plus several known copies have more severe faults such as thins, creases or repairs, not to mention some offered as mint are cleaned, regummed or have removed "Specimen" overprints. That makes the Rinkoff example, with its gorgeous fresh color, near perfect centering and full original gum, such a special stamp. One of the very finest examples known of this important British Empire rarity. Signed H. Bloch and accompanied by a 1979 BPA certificate; ex-Sir Gawaine Baillie (Scott #59; $22,000.00).
