market in years, being the Dr. Jerry Summers example which we had the
pleasure of selling as part of his impressive collection in our June 2000
sale, after fiercely competitive bidding it realized a record $23,100.00
(including premium) versus its then catalog value of $10,000.00; an
important opportunity for the serious stationery collector, as it is highly
unlikely that another example of this great rarity will make an appearance
on the auction market for years to come.
