ONE OF THREE EXAMPLES OF THE $6.00 SURCHARGE ON ONE-EIGHTH BARREL 1933 ISSUE IN PRIESTER CENSUS. According to the Priester book, the earliest date of use of the Series C surcharged stamps is December 6, 1933, two days prior to the date this stamp was used. ONE OF TWO RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE 1933 ONE HOGSHEAD IN BLACK, SCOTT REA158. ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL REVENUE STAMPS. The 1933 One Hogshead Black is known without overprint (REA158) and with overprint (REA168). Priester records two examples of the former (REA158) and one of the latter (REA168).
