Well-struck double-circle datestamp, matching target cancel ties 3c Dull Red (26) on buff cover to Wadesboro N.C., evidently missent (to S.C.?) and re-routed with "Paid" handstamp also tying stamp, upon arrival in Wadesboro -- after June 1st -- the postmaster at receiving office rated the letter "10" in pencil for 10c Confederate postage due, a fascinating usage from Arkansas on the last day of Independent Statehood (admitted to C.S.A. on May 18th) and rated with both U.S. and Confederate postage, signed Dietz (Image) E. 750-1,000
