Sec." crossed out in Lincoln's hand, addressed to Mrs. James Sprigg and with first name changed to John, addressed in Mary Todd Lincoln's hand with "Mrs. Lincoln" at bottom left also in her hand, bold "Washington D.C. May 17, 1862" double-circle datestamp, slightly reduced at right, some overall soiling and wear

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE ABRAHAM LINCOLN FREE FRANK, WHICH ALSO BEARS THE WRITING AND SIGNATURE OF HIS WIFE, MARY TODD LINCOLN. A MARVELOUS SHOWPIECE.
