5116   3c 1857 Perforated Issues (25, 25A, 26A). 215 stamps, vast majority used, four of No. 26A original gum, five unused (no gum), each one plated, hinged to Dr. Chase’s individual plating cards and beautifully displayed in a stockbook organized by Scott No., including Nos. 25 (54), 25A (11) and 26A (150), strength of collection is wide showing of plate varieties especially in stamps from Plates 10 and 11 (No. 26A), incl. double and triple transfers, retouches, recuts, frame-line doubling, also a variety of cancels and few other anomalies like a pre-print paper fold, while faults will be found, condition overall is better than often seen, with many sound and attractive stamps, a most impressive holding of this issue which entirely excludes the common No. 26, most were acquired decades ago from Dr. Chase and G.B. Smith, Scott Retail more than $33,000.00
