George Washington. Free frank "Free G. Washington" on folded letter written entirely in Washington's hand and signed, addressed to Col. Clement Biddle in Philadelphia and datelined Mount
Vernon May 29th 1788, bold "ALEX, MAY 30" straightline handstamp, letter reads "Dear Sir, Enclosed is a bill of lading for ten barrels of Shad, and forty barrels of Herring, which you will please to dispense of (on commission) to the best
advantage for the benefit of Yr. Most Obed. Servt." and signed, docketed on back, light vertical file folds VERY FINE. A RARE DOUBLE-SIGNED AUTOGRAPH LETTER AND FREE FRANK FROM GEORGE WASHINGTON. The folded letter is a two-page folio,
