matching "Hilo, Hawaii, Mar. 17, 1897" double-line circular
datestamp (Ty. 253.01), addressed to Dr. Wetmore with notation "Parcels
Post Package $2.80", the words "Parcels Post" have been crossed out and
"Taxed" written over, two punch holes and wrinkles, Very Fine
strikes and most unusual, this marking is unlisted in Meyer-Harris or

Postmaster General of Suva, Fiji, with additional red "Dead Letter
Office./Honolulu.-Hawaii" two-line handstamp and "Dead Letter Office,
Honolulu, H.I. Aug. 21, 1895" double-line circular datestamp (Ty. 754),
postmarked two days later with red "Honolulu, Hawaii, Aug. 23, 1895"
double-circle datestamp, "R" registry handstamp (Ty. 701) and "Rebuts"
straightline handstamp struck twice, corners clipped for fumigation
during cholera outbreak, two perfect strikes of "G.P.O. Suva, Fiji, 11 Oct.
95" receiving datestamp, minor toning and few tiny edge faultsVERY
