VERY FINE. AN ATTRACTIVE AND SCARCE FRANKING COMBINING THE BUENOS AIRES "CABECITAS" AND ARGENTINE REPUBLIC ISSUES.
Due to the shortage of "Escuditos" 10c stamps, the use of "Cabecitas", which are denominated in Pesos, was allowed from June 1863 to January 1864. One Peso was equivalent to 5 centavos.
